CONTRIBUTING TO OUR GIRL KINGDOM
5% OF SALES OF GIRL KING SALES WILL BE DONATED TO THE MALALA FUND
More than 130 million girls are out of school today. Malala Fund is working for a world where all girls can learn and lead. Co-founded by student and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai, Malala Fund advocates for resources and policy changes needed to give all girls a secondary education, invests in local education leaders and amplifies the voices of girls fighting for change.
Malala began her campaign for education at age 11 when she anonymously blogged for the BBC about life under the Taliban in Pakistan's Swat Valley. Inspired by her father's activism, Malala soon began advocating publicly for girls' education — attracting international media attention and awards. At age 15, she was shot by the Taliban for speaking out. Malala recovered in the United Kingdom and continued her fight for girls. In 2013 she founded Malala Fund with her father, Ziauddin. A year later, Malala received the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of her efforts to see every girl complete 12 years of free, safe, quality education.
THE RED BOX PROJECT
We have teamed up with Red Box project to build as many period donation boxes as possible at events, utilising our network. Red Box project is an initiative that ensures that no young woman misses out on her education because of her period. They donate constant stocked red boxes of sanitary wear in schools for young women to access, aiming to reach those who may not be able to afford these vital items.
Free Periods is a campaign founded by Amika George aged 18 who has a mission to ensure no girl in the UK is living in period poverty. Nails inc will be working with Amika to raise awareness of the campaign in the UK.
